Trying out screens for moving image exhibition presentation:

I decided to book out the screens from UWE to understand how I needed to format the moving image way in advance to the show so that I have a full understanding of what I need to do. It was much simpler than I thought and I only needed to format the work from a MOV file, to an MP4 file. The file is then put onto a USB stick, downloaded onto the screen, and then plays on a loop without any adjustments to the monitor, or having to pay or select any files. I did need to also turn the moving image piece landscape as I wanted it to be full bleed on the screen, and therefore I will just need to turn the screen sideways to show the work portrait. This means that for exhibition I will book out three of these screens and have three separate USBs to cary each piece and download onto each screen to play on a loop.

One thing that I did notice when watching the piece was that it is very short when being shown on the loop, I slowed it down to 75% but this was still not effective in making it longer. Due to it looping, I feel that the length of the piece is very obviously short. Therefore, when I reshoot the work, I want to make each section at least 2 minutes long, which will then loop, this I feel would be much more effective as it would not be so obviously looping.
